RAGBRAI Journal: Late Registration Closes May 15th

Yes, RAGBRAI registration is still open, but the window of opportunity is racing to a close. If you are still interested in joining in on this two-wheeled party, you have until May 15th to get yourself registered. Don't wait... lock up your ticket to ride (or support) now!

Just as your friendly reminder, as of Monday April 15th (yes Tax Day), the Standard Registration pricing for both Weeklong Riders and Day Pass Rider RAGBRAI registrations has ended. Registration has now moved into the Late Registration pricing phase, which is yet another bump-up from both the Early and the Standard pricing that ended on April15th.

Yes, May 15th is the last day to register for Weeklong Riders. There are no exceptions. For those of you out there interested in registering for one or more Day Passes, you may actually be to able register right up to, and including, the actual ride itself. See my special note under the Day Riders section below for more on Day Riders.

So really, if you are still interested in registering as a Weeklong Rider, your window is closing super fast... May 15th will be here before you know it.

Even Day Pass Riders should take heed of the May 15th deadline as you may then have to wait all the way until the week of RAGBRAI, on July 21-27, for your absolute last shot at registration.

And even Non-Riders (those driving vehicles or any kind of support staff) should likewise take heed of the May 15th deadline. As we detailed in our previous article RAGBRAI Journal: Vehicle Passes Now On Sale, the official RAGBRAI Vehicle Pass site clearly states:

Reminder that you must register your non-riders too! Vehicle Passes do not include the Non-Rider Registration.

So what does this all mean?

In short, whether you are a Weeklong Rider, Day Pass Rider, or simply just a Vehicle/Support Non-Rider, I highly recommend that you take care of ANY registration before May 15th.

You can find all of the pricing policies and dates available on the official RAGBRAI Registration page. I have excerpted a few pieces of registration information below just to so you have the key dates at the ready and can plan accordingly.

RAGBRAI will be held on July 21 thru July 27... this is Sunday through to Saturday.

Weeklong Rider Covers you to ride all 7 days.

Registration Pricing Dates:

Early Registration: $225 (November 15th, 2023- February 29th, 2024) Now ended.
Standard Registration: $250 (March 1st, 2024- April 14th, 2024) Now ended.
Late Registration: $275 (April 15th, 2024- Registration closes on May 15th, 2024) Officially opened Apr 15.
Important Note: Weeklong Rider pass are NOT sold during the week of the ride.

Day Pass Riders Covers you to ride one or more individual days.

Registration Pricing Dates:

Early Registration: $45 (November 15th, 2023- February 29th, 2024) Now ended.
Standard Registration: $50 (March 1st, 2024- April 14th, 2024) Now ended.
Late Registration: $60 (April 15th, 2024- Registration closes on May 15th, 2024) Officially opened Apr 15.

Important Note: I just want to point out some conflicting information on the RAGBRAI site as to exactly when Day Pass registration ends. It may just be that some of the larger documents have not been updated recently. I recommend checking with the folks at RAGBRAI to confirm if sales of ALL Passes ends on May 15th. Or is registration still open for Day Passes during the week of the ride?

Parking at the Start and End Town

As noted in the RAGBRAI General Information page, parking information is not typically available until some time in May. So if you are in need of parking in either of these towns, you will want to pay attention to the RAGBRAI site come the beginning of May and be on the look-out for when start/end town parking information is published.

As of April 23, 2024, the Start and End Town parking information has not yet been released. But I fully expect this to come online the very first week of May. This is something you should keep an eye out for.
