RAGBRAI Journal: Vehicle Passes Now On Sale

RAGBRAI support vehicles are part of the experience.

For those of you out there that will have, or are thinking of having, a vehicle accompany you along the RAGBRAI route this year, you will need to register that vehicle in order for it to be allowed anywhere near the route. Now that the RAGBRAI vehicle passes are on sale, you should jump over to the RAGBRAI site to complete your RAGBRAI Vehicle Pass registration process.

This is the process where you register that cool looking refurbished team bus, that simple camper van, or that mini RV for you and a few friends. I have to say, seeing the many incarnations of people carriers is one of the best parts of the RAGBRAI. The creativity, and the ingenuity are truly something cool for all spectators. The time is now for you to head over and get your pass reserved.

Calling all non-rider participant registrations

One point worth calling out here is that a registration is also required for any persons that will be participating in RAGBRAI... and that includes those non-riders. This reminder is clearly stated on the RAGBRAI Vehicle Passes page:

Reminder that you must register your non-riders too! Vehicle Passes do not include the Non-Rider Registration.

So for those non-rider participants, we encourage you to also head over to the RAGBRAI website to fill out a Non-Rider registration right away.

Each vehicle pass requires a vehicle size category

I do have to say the folks at RAGBRAI have gotten quite creative. They have provided the following graphic that helps you quickly establish to which sizing category your vehicle will fall into. Rather ingenious to save what could clearly have been a rather wordy explanation of how vehicles are categorized. Honestly, take a look at just how many variety of vehicles actually do participate in the RAGBRAI festivities. It is quite amazing to see it in writing.

Vehicle Passes On Sale Now

That's it. Once you have an idea of what size category your vehicle is to be classified, and its cost, all you need to do is to register that vehicle for a pass. And that process is pretty simple. Just head on over and complete the RAGBRAI Vehicle Pass registration process. Get that pass in hand to ensure its place.
